How Spelling Bee Works
Center Letter
Every valid word must contain the center letter at least once. This letter is required.
Outer Letters
Use any combination of the 6 outer letters plus the center letter to make words.
Example Setup
Try center letter M with outer letters AIGLNO. This gives you words like MAIN, MANGO, LOAMING, MOANING, and more!
Scoring
4-letter words: 1 point. Longer words: 1 point per letter. Pangrams (all 7 letters): +7 bonus points.
Minimum Length
All words must be at least 4 letters long. Proper nouns and profanity are excluded.
Strategy Tips
- • Start with common suffixes: -ING, -ED, -ER, -LY
- • Look for prefixes: UN-, RE-, IN-, DE-
- • Try compound words and variations of base words
- • Pangrams are rare but worth many points
- • Use all letters multiple times - repetition is allowed

- Beginner: Few words found
- Good Start: ~25% of total points
- Moving Up: ~40% of total points
- Good: ~50% of total points
- Solid: ~60% of total points
- Nice: ~70% of total points
- Great: ~80% of total points
- Amazing: ~90% of total points
- Queen Bee: 100% of total points
Scoring Examples
- GOOD (4 letters) = 1 point
- GREAT (5 letters) = 5 points
- AMAZING (7 letters) = 7 points
- PANGRAM (7 unique letters) = 14 points
